Tour LAPL's Rare Books Rooms and Special Collections

Join the L.A. Chapter for a tour of the Los Angeles Public Library's Rare Books Room and to learn more about their digitization efforts and special collections. The tour will be led by Research & Special Collections Manager Ani Boyadjian. This will be a great opportunity to learn about the treasures housed in the historic Los Angeles Central Library and to get a behind-the-scenes look at LAPL operations.

Date: Saturday, August 1, 2015
Time: 3:00 PM
Parking: $1 flat rate with validation
(must have a valid library card and enter/leave during library hours 9:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.)

REFORMA Los Angeles Chapter is pleased to announce the 2015 Día de los Niños, Día de los Libros Mini Grant. Please find attached the mini grant application for $250.00 towards a Día de los Niños, Día de los Libros event at a public or school library in Los Angeles County. Our 2015-2016 applications for the Elizabeth Martinez and Dr. Karin Duran scholarships are now open! Each scholarship is in the amount of $1,000 and students may apply for both but can only be awarded one.

REFORMA Los Angeles Chapter is sponsoring an MLIS student to attend the 2014 ALA Annual Conference & Exhibition in Las Vegas and  REFORMA's Denim and Diamonds Gala on Friday, June 27th.
